Our Director, Erin Faw!
The Stewartstown Area Senior Center is happy to welcome Erin Faw as the Center’s Director!
In Erin’s own words. “I was brought aboard on October 30th as the Director of this wonderful organization and being a Stewartstown native, I’m so happy to have the opportunity to establish a lasting relationship with the members and volunteers. I’ve lived in Felton for 1-½ years with my husband of 22 years, Jon, daughter Heather and our 4 dogs Luna, Cosmo, Holly and Jojo. Prior to moving back to the area, we spent the last 22 years living in Red Lion in a house that my daughter Kayla with her husband Justin and my daughter Megan still live in. Prior to joining the team, I was the office manager for the US location of the German manufacturing company Funke. Graduating from Kennard-Dale in 1993, it is nice to see and engage on a different level with former teachers, coaches, and parents from my youth.”
The Senior Center provides activities, programs, services and a noon meal to area seniors, 60 years of age and older, Monday through Friday. All seniors are invited to see what we are all about and come out and meet Erin, or in many cases get reacquainted! The Center is located in Heritage Hall of the Stewartstown United Methodist Church, 26 South Main Street, Stewartstown.
Our Assistant Director, Louise Herwig!
Hi, I am Louise Herwig, Assistant Director. I am 61 years old.
I have been married for 38 years to my wonderful husband Bryan. We do not have any children, but we have a dog, a Jack Russell Mix who is 6 years old named Otis.
I worked for Proctor & Gamble for 33 years. I retired early from P&G when I was 51. My husband and I traveled for a while enjoying retirement, then in 2016 I saw an ad for a part-time assistant at the Senior Center. I completed the interview and got the job. I really enjoy working here, no two days are ever the same.
I love to travel especially going to the beach and camping, (not tent camping, but Glamping!) I love to bowl and have started a group here at the Center, once a month we go to Red Lion Bowling alley. I am a huge Ravens fan, I watch every game, my husband calls himself a “football widower!”
