The Stewartstown Senior Center is proud to announce our collaboration with Care First Education LLC. Care First Education LLC is founded by local community member, Samantha Hammond. Samantha brings a valuable knowledge to our community. She has a graduate degree in Nursing and specialized training in health, safety, and preparedness with the real-world experience as a registered nurse in community settings, a nurse educator, and a Red Cross volunteer. Her background equips the organization to provide a community educational curriculum that focuses on the community and its health, wellness, and learning needs.
As an educator, Sam strives to create a warm, caring, and welcoming environment where learners feel recognized, valued, and comfortable to learn. Teaching methods and activities are evidence-based and student-centered—factors that research has shown to enhance learning. Care First Education LLC believes health, safety, and preparedness education should be accessible to everyone.
Samantha is the Senior Center Instructor for our new Cardio-Drumming class and will also be teaching numerous Health Education based classes to our center members, as well as, those in our community. We are so happy and excited to offer these new classes to our member and all of you.
